We've shipped two updates this week: a refreshed Engagement Tracking experience and a brand new Permissions panel for admins.

New: Permissions & visibility panel 🆕

Admins can now fully customize what managers and employees are allowed to do on Popwork — shaping the platform around your own management culture instead of a one-size-fits-all model.

You can start from a preset:

  • Standard (recommended) — managers keep autonomy over their teams and rituals
  • Minimum control — managers stick to the essentials: 1:1s and rituals

...then fine-tune each permission individually, including:

  • Adding one-off questions
  • Editing ritual templates
  • Managing members
  • Sharing 1:1 workspaces
  • Viewing team analytics
  • Viewing all teams (org-wide visibility, like an admin)
  • Viewing indirect teams (aggregate data on managers' managers)

Employee-level permissions (sharing 1:1 workspaces, creating goals) can also be toggled on or off.

To set this up, go to My company > Permissions & visibility.

Engagement Tracking, redesigned 🎨

Engagement Tracking has a cleaner new look. You can now navigate your org chart breadcrumb-style (All teams > Manager > Manager...) and see, at a glance, each direct report's Sentiment and Charge scores side by side.

This makes it faster to spot who's overloaded, who's disengaged, and where to focus first — especially across larger or multi-layered teams.

To access it, go to Home > Engagement tracking, or click on any manager's name to drill into their team.
