Week 02 - New dashboard on management practices đź“Š

Florian avatar
Shared by Florian • January 15, 2024

This week we have enriched the company dashboard with a brand new tab on management practices.

Admins now have visibility on the number of 1:1 meetings completed by team members and feedback given by managers.

They can also drill down their organization visualizing metrics for their overall company, specific teams or individuals. Colors are here to help users quickly visualize where issues are:

  • Bad = < 0.5 / month (light red)
  • Average ≥ 0.5 / month (light green)
  • Good ≥ 1.0 / month (green)

Finally, Admins benefit from proactive alerts on management practices as they have access to a list of team members not completing any 1:1 meetings with their managers.

This new set of management indicators will help companies roll-out and monitor management practices across their organization. More insights on objectives will be added in the course of January. Stay tuned!

Other improvements:

  • Added a visual confirmation in company settings that the Company template has been edited
  • Fixed a bug on sorting of archived objectives, now sorted by archive date rather than due date
  • Modified the wording of “read-only” access for “guest” access
  • Fixed an issue with guest workspaces still showing in the menu after they were archived

Shared by Florian • December 18, 2023

Admins can now visualize and edit the management rituals available to their managers.

Popwork templates are a robust basis used by thousands of teams, but you may want to customize them to fit perfectly with your company culture.

As an Admin, to visualize these rituals and the template question, simply go to Company > Rituals & trainings.

To customize these management rituals for your company, click on the “Talk to an expert” button and a Popwork expert will get in touch with you to consult and configure the best rituals for your company together with you.

For each template, you will be able to:

  • Add, edit or remove questions
  • Lock important questions
  • Change the recommended frequency

Note that managers will still be able customize rituals for their own teams, including:

  • Add, edit or remove questions (that are not locked)
  • Choose the best frequency for each of their team member

Other improvements:

  • Fixed several bugs related affecting the synchronization of Outlook calendar events
  • Improved the user experience when saving ritual frequency and calendar changes
  • Fixed a small bug in the default due date when creating an objective
  • Improved the user experience when adding a comment or a quick reaction

Account administrators can now export users in csv.

This is particularly useful to reconcile employee directory and list of users in Popwork. This can help admins to make sure Popwork users are up to date and managers are correctly assigned.

Exports can be done at any time from Settings > Users & Roles > Export users.

The csv export includes the following attributes:

  • User first name
  • User last name
  • User email
  • Manager email
  • Admin role (boolean)
  • User creation date
  • User status (active or deleted)
  • User deletion date
  • User last activity date

Other improvements:

  • The owner is now notified (via Slack or email) when an objective is archived
  • Fixed an issue with the modal to cancel modifications when editing a question
  • Fixed an issue in the calculation of most selected answers not changing when selecting a different timeframe
  • Removed a redirection to the paywall for team members when exiting their Settings
  • Fixed an issue in the team dashboard not fetching correctly in some cases
  • A series of other small tech and design improvements

Week 44 - Sharing answers with several users đź‘€

Florian avatar
Shared by Florian • November 09, 2023

You can now grant access to dotted-line managers or N+2 who want to get access to the answers of a team member.

This access can be given (and removed) by the direct manager or the team member themselves from the top left of their workspace.

These people are read-only and have access to all incoming answers (not historical ones). Soon, they will also be able to comment and react on these answers as well.

In the event the team member has a new manager, this third-party access for must again be given by the team member or the new manager.

Week 41 - New manager recap table đź“Š

Florian avatar
Shared by Florian • October 25, 2023

We have just released a new version of the team recap for managers.

It’s a simple table that helps managers visually identify the key pulse metrics of their team members: how they are doing in terms of mood and workload.

The RAG (Red, Amber, Green) indicators enable managers to see in a glimpse any alerts that might need further digging.

From there, managers can zoom in on historical evolution and access raw historical answers.
