We are mid-year! Itâs the perfect time for managers and team members to reflect on the first half of the year and plan for a great second half of the year.
That is why, we are excited to introduce a new management ritual on Popwork: Performance & Development conversations! This new ritual will enable managers and teams members to reflect on their achievements and performance and agree on development goals.
We know that mid-year reviews can be stressful and boring. Popwork will make them simple and meaningful. In one button click, managers can set up this new management ritual from their Team settings and choose the frequency (quarterly, biannual or annual).
It works the same as 1:1 meetings. Before the conversation, team members answer a few questions designed by management experts.
Managers can then prepare for the discussion and share feedback. At the end of the conversation, managers and team members agree on actions that will help them improve and grow.
Itâs that simple.

Planning meaningful 1:1 meetings on Popwork just got much easier with our Google Calendar integration!
Simply connect Google Calendar in your Team settings and your 1:1 meetings on Popwork will be added and synchronized with your and your team members' calendars. From the calendar invite, participants will get direct access to Popwork to prepare for the meeting.
Please note that this new integration is currently in beta testing and under review by the Google team.
Finally, if you are using Microsoft Outlook, an integration will be available soon. Stay tuned!

As Popwork lets you customize the check-in questions for your team, itâs always useful to be able to access the Popwork template validated by management experts.
Currently, we are also working on adding new management rituals including Performance & Development conversations. Stay tuned!

This Slack integration is the first step towards better notifications and alerting. We would love to hear your feedback!
We are also planning to integrate Popwork with Teams in the coming months to offer the same feature to our Microsoft users.
Stay tuned, as we are currently finalizing another important integration: Google Calendar!

We have made a series of visual improvements to bring further clarity in how rituals are displayed in the workspace.
Most notably, we have simplified 1:1 meeting dates on Popwork as we are now only showing the meeting date in workspaces. This makes it much easier to plan, prepare and follow up on 1:1 meetings.
Now, team members are also automatically redirected to their workspaces after sharing a check-in. This will give them direct access to their previous answers, open action items and feedback from their manager.
Finally, it is also now possible to deactivate and activate 1:1 rituals for your team. This will be particularly useful when we add more ritual templates.
