Popwork's changelog
Week 30 - New ritual to reflect regularly on objectives 🎯
We've just improved the Objectives module on Popwork to give you more flexibility and make objectives tracking easier!
Say goodbye to objectives that are defined at the beginning of the period and then forgotten! With this new stand-alone ritual to reflect on objectives’ status, teams increase significantly their chances of achieving them.
It’s super simple to get started:
- Define clear objectives for each team member
- Set the status update frequency (quarterly, monthly, weekly, …)
- Plan the first review date soon
- Discuss and monitor the progress made (achieved, on track, behind, at risk, …) and repeat!
Other improvements:
- Reworked how the rituals are ordered and displayed to make it simpler for team member and manager find which ritual should be completed or reviewed
- Fixed an issue when adding a team member and syncing it immediately with Google Calendar
- Improved how ritual reminders work and now vary upon the ritual’s frequency (eg. on a ‘quarterly’ frequency team members will be reminded two weeks before whereas on a ‘weekly’ frequency this will be only one day before)

When synchronizing Popwork and Google Calendar, managers have now access to loader to visualize in real-time meetings being synchronized.
.. and a series of other improvements:
- Renamed “My teams & rituals” by “Team settings”

Week 25 - A new way to Performance & Development conversations 🎉
We are mid-year! It’s the perfect time for managers and team members to reflect on the first half of the year and plan for a great second half of the year.
That is why, we are excited to introduce a new management ritual on Popwork: Performance & Development conversations! This new ritual will enable managers and teams members to reflect on their achievements and performance and agree on development goals.
We know that mid-year reviews can be stressful and boring. Popwork will make them simple and meaningful. In one button click, managers can set up this new management ritual from their Team settings and choose the frequency (quarterly, biannual or annual).
It works the same as 1:1 meetings. Before the conversation, team members answer a few questions designed by management experts.
Managers can then prepare for the discussion and share feedback. At the end of the conversation, managers and team members agree on actions that will help them improve and grow.
It’s that simple.
Other improvements:
- Improved the layout of My profile page
- Fixed an refetch issue after enabling Slack integration
- Fixed a translation issue in onboarding

We have just released one of our most requested features! Now, you can receive Popwork notifications in Slack, and disable email notifications if you like.

This Slack integration is the first step towards better notifications and alerting. We would love to hear your feedback!

Week 20 - A series of improvements 🎉
We have made a series of visual improvements to bring further clarity in how rituals are displayed in the workspace.
Most notably, we have simplified 1:1 meeting dates on Popwork as we are now only showing the meeting date in workspaces. This makes it much easier to plan, prepare and follow up on 1:1 meetings.
Now, team members are also automatically redirected to their workspaces after sharing a check-in. This will give them direct access to their previous answers, open action items and feedback from their manager.
Finally, it is also now possible to deactivate and activate 1:1 rituals for your team. This will be particularly useful when we add more ritual templates.
Other improvements:
- New team members now appear instantaneously in the left menu of managers when added to the team
- Fixed an issue when setting the 1:1 meeting date for today
- Fixed an issue when adding yourself as the owner of an objective
- Fixed an issue when adding a custom question during the onboarding
- Improved the dropdown on the sign-up page
- Made small design improvements to the left menu
